Bacon Wrapped Omelet Bites

These omelet bites are a great portable breakfast that can be made early in the week and enjoyed for the next few days. You can experiment with the fillings but stick to the measurements of eggs and egg whites. If you are going to add cheese sprinkle it on at the very end so it can melt over the top. Enjoy!

Candied Bacon

This post is short and sweet. My dad loves bacon, so for Father’s Day I made him candied bacon. The recipe is very simple and adds a nice sweet touch to salty flavor of the bacon. This works well as a side with breakfast or as a nice party appetizer. Enjoy!

English Scones

I lived in England for two years and unfortunately never had too many scones while I was there. When I returned to the US I was at The Dandelion Pub in Philadelphia for brunch and saw scones on their menu. After my first bite I was hooked and had to learn how to make them. Most scone recipes call for either cherries or some other fruit to be baked into the scones but I am not a big fan of this. In the recipe I have cherries or raisins listed as an optional ingredient. It is best to serve these scones as soon as they come out of the oven with your favorite flavor of jam and clotted cream. You can find a great mock clotted cream recipe over on Pork Chop Tuesday’s blog. You will find my scone recipe below. Enjoy!

French Toast

All this week I have wanted to make French Toast for breakfast. I have not made it in a while so I needed a quick refresher on the recipe. After looking up a few basic recipes I put together parts that I liked and started cooking. Cooking the toast in the pan then finishing it in the oven made sure the French Toast was warmed all the way through. Enjoy this simple recipe for breakfast sometime!

Egg Bagels

This morning, after digging out from the snow last night, I decided to take a stab at making bagels. I chose to try a basic egg bagel recipe that I put together from a few different recipes I found online. I was surprised at how easy they were to make and how great they looked when thy came out of the oven. Besides looking great they tasted god too. They were the prefect base for a ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and helped fuel me up after digging out the driveway. If you have time on a Saturday or Sunday morning I would highly recommend trying this recipe.
